The Friends of Children’s Hospital MiracleHome committee works throughout the year with a volunteer builder to construct a home using donated materials and sells raffle tickets for a chance to win the home for $100 each.  The project was created in 2003 with The Home Builder’s Association of Jackson and is annually presented by Trustmark National Bank.FOCH-MH_Logo_2014

Co-Created in 2003 by Friends and the Home Builder’s Association of Jackson, the MiracleHome Project combines a volunteer builder and donated materials to raise funds for Batson Children’s Hospital.  Each year, raffle tickets are sold for $100 each and only 6,000 are sold.  At the end of the campaign, we gathered for the MiracleHome Giveaway Celebration and pulled one lucky ticket out of all the tickets as the winner of the MiracleHome!  Several fabulous Secondary Prizes were given away as well. Scott Shoemaker of Shoemaker Homes signed on to build the house for 2014 in The Enclave at Towne Center in Ridgeland.

The Friends MiracleHome was featured on the Home Builder’s Association of Jackson Fall Parade of Homes on Saturday and Sunday, October 18 & 19 and Saturday and Sunday, October 25 & 26 and opened for tours each weekend following from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. until the giveaway. The Radio People Radio Stations hosted several live remotes from the MiracleHome during open houses and WJTV broadcasted the MiracleHome Giveaway Celebration LIVE immediately following the SEC Championship game on Saturday, December 6th, 2014.  People came to watch the game with us on several large flat screen televisions in the Cowboy Maloney Viewing Area at the MiracleHome as not miss a moment of the big game. Miskelly Furniture staged this year’s MiracleHome with their beautiful furnishings and accessories and provided the Early Bird Prize and several Secondary Prizes.
