We believe in delivering a quality constructed home and achieving a high rate of customer satisfaction

Knowledgeable. Insightful. Service Oriented. Affordable. Creative. Award Winning. These are just some of the words to describe Shoemaker Homes. Founded in 1971 by Hollis Shoemaker, a licensed residential builder, we’ve dedicated ourselves to building first class affordable homes that last. The Shoemaker Homes name has meant quality and value to homeowners across Central Mississippi. With precision and care, we craft your dreams into a home that is meant for you.
The value of quality construction was a way of life for our founder, Hollis Shoemaker. An active member in the community, Hollis shared his continued desire for excellence within the Mississippi home building industry. Hollis was President of the Home Builders Association of Jackson in 1978 and was elected state President in 1983. Following these terms of faithful service as well as countless appointments to various committees Hollis became a Life Director with the National Association of Home Builders in 1988 and was elected to the Home Builders Association of Mississippi Hall of Fame in 2006.
Although he grew up in the home building business, Scott formally joined the staff in 1998 and received his residential builder’s license from the State Board of Contractors. Together, both Hollis and Scott built countless homes in various communities across the entire Metro Jackson area. Since, Scott has continued Hollis’ philosophy of active community service by serving as the local and state Home Builder Association president. In fact, Hollis and Scott are the first father/son duo to serve as state presidents. They also both received “Builder of the Year” awards in 1998, 1999 and 2007. Shoemaker Homes has also been the recipient of many “Best of Mississippi” awards.
In October of 2013 Hollis passed away and left a legacy of leadership and simply “big shoes to fill.” Scott has continued Hollis’ active role and mantle of leadership with his continued participation within the community. He has served as Administrative board chair at his church, President of the Ridgeland, MS Chamber of Commerce and is a recipient of the Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 award to name a few. Much like his father, Scott has also continued to seek knowledge within his industry and has received several various designations throughout his career. Scott was inducted into the Home Builders Association of Mississippi Hall of Fame in 2021.
